Find a career that cares at Falkirk’s social care recruitment fair

Employers from across the local area will be attending the #TeamFalkirk Recruitment Fair on Thursday 6th April, seeking to fill dozens of vacancies in health and social care.

Those interested in starting a new career are encouraged to attend to learn about the various routes available into the sector.

Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership is hosting the event to draw attention to the wide range of roles which are currently hiring across the Falkirk area.

Job opportunities on offer include those working in care homes, home care providers, day care support, reablement, mental health services, and social care.

For many care roles, job seekers may not need qualifications or experience to get started – just a caring attitude and willingness to help others.

Some employers, including Falkirk Council, are offering to fund a qualification in health and social care (SVQ Level 2) as part of their job offer.

The skills and knowledge gained from such a qualification can help people gain entry to a range of professions including occupational therapy, social work, nursing, physiotherapy, and others.

Employers offering a range of opportunities on the day will include:

  • Falkirk Council
  • NHS Forth Valley
  • Thistle Care
  • Cluaran Healthcare Services
  • Nightingale Homecare
  • Montana Homecare
  • Kingdom Support and Care
  • Key Support
  • Nadia Healthcare Services
  • Stoneywood Care
  • Carr Gomm
  • Balmoral Care
  • C-Change

Additional employment advice will be available on the day from Falkirk Council’s Employment and Training Unit, who can help local people find a job or training opportunity to progress their careers.

The free-to-attend #TeamFalkirk Recruitment Fair will take place at Falkirk Trinity Church on Thursday 6th April between 10.30am and 2pm.
