16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
Organisations across Falkirk and Forth Valley are taking part in 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence, held between 25th November and 10th December.
Every year, the 16 Days campaign unites people and organisations across the world to call for an end to all forms of gender-based harm.
Starting on the International Day Against Violence Against Women and ending on International Human Rights Day, the dates for the campaign link these issues together and emphasise that gender-based violence against women is a violation of human rights.
16 Days is a way to start shifting culture and stand together to say Falkirk should be a safe place for everyone to live. A series of 40 events launches at Forth Valley College on Tuesday 25 November.
These events are open to everyone – residents, community groups, schools, workplaces and organisations. By learning more, challenging harmful attitudes and standing alongside survivors, we can make Falkirk a place where everyone feels safe, respected and valued.
