We are pleased to confirm that, following a competitive recruitment process, Morag Barrow has been appointed as the new Chief Officer for Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership.

Morag has more than 25 years of experience of working across both NHS and local government services and has led integrated health and social care services through significant financial, operational and workforce challenges, while improving health and wellbeing outcomes.

Having started her career as a physiotherapist, Morag has held a range of clinical, operational and senior leadership roles where she has developed extensive expertise in health and social care integration, service transformation and partnership working.

She has successfully led major programmes focused on reducing delayed discharge, strengthening community-based care, improving system flow and developing sustainable models of care.

Known for her collaborative leadership style, Morag has a strong track record of working with Integration Joint Boards, NHS Boards, local authorities, Scottish Government and third sector partners to deliver meaningful change. She is passionate about reducing inequalities, improving health and ensuring people receive services and support which meets their individual needs, as close to home as possible.

Morag is due to take up her new role at the beginning of January 2027 and is very much looking forward to working with colleagues, partners and communities to build on the excellent work already underway and ensure we continue to deliver high-quality health and social care services for the people of Falkirk.
