Is health and social care for you?

Every day is different when working in care. You can change someone’s life simply by being a good listener, self-motivated, trustworthy, flexible, and enthusiastic.

Starting your career

You don’t need qualifications to get started. As part of your employment with Falkirk Council, Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership will support you to gain a qualification in health and social care (SVQ Level 2). You will also gain and maintain a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership.

Your role could be within a range of services, including day care support, mental health, mobile emergency care, reablement, or social care.

A role in care can provide experience to gain entry to professions, such as social work, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and others.
