Celebrating Dedication, Service and Achievement
Colleagues from across the Partnership and Falkirk Council came together at Falkirk Stadium recently to celebrate the dedication, commitment and achievements of our workforce.
This year, the Council brought together its Employee Recognition Awards and Long Service Awards into a single event for the first time. Our People: Recognising Dedication, Commitment and Achievement celebrated colleagues who have gone above and beyond in their roles as well as those reaching significant service milestones.
The event highlighted the vital role our staff make every day in delivering high-quality services and supporting communities across the Falkirk area.
Three teams and two individuals were nominated for employee recognition. This included:
Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)
- Forth Valley Child Interview Team for its work delivering trauma-informed, child-centred joint social work and Police Scotland investigative interviews that protect children and secure high-quality evidence.
Education
- Yvonne Manning for inspiring a love of reading and storytelling, including her work on the Red Book Awards.
- Carol Dalgleish for providing outstanding organisational support during a period of significant change within Children’s Services.
Place Services
- Climate Change Team for collaborative work that enabled the Council to meet carbon-reduction targets five years early, including successful engagement with schools.
Transformation, Communities and Corporate Services (TC&C)
- Resettlement Team for providing vital support to refugee families, helping them settle and build independence, and for their leadership in integration strategy and partnership working.
A total of 102 colleagues received their 25 Year Long Service Award, while a further 20 colleagues were recognised for reaching 40 years of service.
Chief Executive Kenneth Lawrie said: “It’s fantastic to recognise those who have gone above and beyond over the past year, as well as those whose long-term dedication has helped shape the services we deliver and the communities we serve.
“What’s clear from this year’s nominations, and from the long careers we are celebrating, is the pride our people take in their work, the support they give one another, and the difference they make to people’s lives.
“It’s a powerful reminder of why public service matters. Our people change lives, strengthen our communities, and reflect the values we are proud to stand for.”
Congratulations to everyone recognised at the event. Together, these achievements showcase what makes Falkirk an exceptional place to work.
