Covid-19 Drop-in Clinics extended in Forth Valley

Drop-in clinics for Covid-19 vaccinations in Forth Valley will be open longer over the next two weeks as part of ongoing efforts to vaccinate as many people as possible across the area during July 2021.

Sessions at Forth Valley College’s campuses in Falkirk, Alloa and Stirling will now run from 8.30am until 7.00pm from Monday 5th July until Sunday 18th July 2021.

Anyone aged 18 or over who has not had their first vaccine and anyone who has had their first dose at least nine weeks ago can also pop in for their second vaccine. No appointment is necessary.

Jillian Taylor, NHS Forth Valley’s Operational Lead for the Covid-19 vaccination programme, said: “Unfortunately, we are seeing an increase in cases across Scotland and, as we approach the final stages of the first Covid-19 vaccination programme, we have extended the opening hours of our local drop-in clinics to make it easier for people to attend.”

“All of the evidence says that the vaccines are working as we continue to battle the faster-transmitting Delta variant which is now dominant. I would therefore encourage anyone in Forth Valley who hasn’t yet been vaccinated to take advantage of these drop-in clinics as the best route out of this pandemic is getting as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible.”
