Provost’s Christmas Appeal 2025 now open
A small donation can make a big difference to local families in need this Christmas.
Supporting communities is what many of us do every day but there is one time of year when going that little further can make a huge amount of difference to those who are really facing up to challenging times.
Over the past few years, employees have made a big difference to local families by donating a few pounds to the Provost’s Christmas Appeal which has raised thousands for those really in need locally.
Contributions go towards putting a Christmas meal on the table or providing small gifts to families, which can be distributed discreetly by local Social Work teams.
This year, the appeal is now open and contributions (however small) can be made via the dedicated Just Giving page so please dig deep and give something to help local families and children.
Provost Robert Bissett said: “We’ve raised thousands over the years and while many of us are considering how we will celebrate Christmas this year, there will be many families in our local communities that will see this as a struggle.
“The point of the appeal is straightforward – please donate what you can and share with colleagues and friends so that small contributions can be made that will genuinely help make those less fortunate enjoy a more comfortable Christmas.
“I want to thank everyone in advance of this year’s appeal and sincerely hope we can all help to make this a giant success.”
