Join our board: Third Sector Representative Nominations Open

Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking a new Third-Sector representative to join it’s Integration Joint Board.

As the voice of Falkirk’s third sector, the successful candidate will take part and feed in to the planning, resourcing, and operational oversight of local health and social care services.

Background

The Integration Joint Board is made up of representatives from Falkirk Council, NHS Forth Valley, the third sector, service users, and local carers.

The Board has responsibility for planning, resourcing, and operational oversight of Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership’s services.

Why we need you

You will have the opportunity to represent the views of the wider third sector in Falkirk at IJB meetings, and to communicate relevant information back to the sector via the CVS Falkirk Health and Wellbeing Forum, with the support of CVS Falkirk.

By joining the Board, you will:

  • Be the voice of Falkirk’s vibrant third sector;
  • Help shape local services and support options;
  • Have access to opportunities for personal development.

The role requires the representative to:

  • Attend four Board meetings & associated meetings per year. These currently take place online via Microsoft teams.
  • Participation in the meetings – offering ideas, opinions and solutions which reflect the voice of the local Third Sector
  • Attending the CVS Falkirk Third Sector Health and Wellbeing Forum which meets quarterly
  • Representing the work of the Integration Joint Board and reporting decisions to other Third Sector organisations

Representatives will be appointed as members for a period of 2 years.

How to apply

If you are part of a third sector group or organisation that delivers health or social care services in the Falkirk Council area, and you would like to ensure the voice of the sector is heard, please complete your nomination by 5pm on Thursday 6th October.

Each nomination should include a personal profile of the candidate, telling us within 400 words:

  • Why you are interested in becoming a representative
  • What experience and skills you bring to the role
  • Any accessibility or support requirements you have in relation to undertaking the duties of the Third Sector IJB representative role

Please read the IJB Third Sector Representative information pack to learn more about the role and full guidance to help complete your nomination.
