Falkirk webinar: Meet the new Living Well Falkirk platform
The Living Well Falkirk team invite colleagues from across Falkirk Council and the health and social care partnership to meet the new refreshed platform, which can help anyone in the local area to understand and improve their ageing journey and wellbeing.
The team will host a lunch and learn webinar on Wednesday 27 November, 1230 – 1300. Please register in advance via Microsoft Teams.
What is Living Well Falkirk?
Living Well Falkirk is a one-stop shop where people can see how they are ageing and set goals to keep on doing the things they want to do. After completing a short quiz, users of Living Well Falkirk can view their ageing journey using the LifeCurve™.
The LifeCurve™ is a measurement and assessment tool developed by ADL Smartcare and Newcastle University based on research which showed that with simple changes to routine and lifestyle, we can control how well we age and the starting age and speed of decline.
Once people see their LifeCurve™, they can create a personalised action plan, combining advice, tailored movements and information about local groups and services to help them make simple, positive changes to their ageing journey. Equipment may be suggested which could help while people improve their strength and abilities.
Who should attend the webinar?
Colleagues working in health, social care, social work, and housing are most likely to benefit professionally from an understanding of the platform and the resources available. All adults who live in the Falkirk area are encouraged to access and use the platform.
