Take part: Local Housing Strategy Survey
Falkirk Council is currently developing a new Local Housing Strategy, setting out the priorities and plans for the delivery of housing and housing-related services over the next five years (2023 -2028).
We would like to hear from as wide a range of local people as possible to help shape the Strategy.
This means gathering views from tenants, residents groups, Community Councils, local clubs, support groups, families, housing staff and anyone living in the local area.
Housing and health – how do they fit together?
Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership supports people to live as independently as possible in their own homes, which means that housing and health services are closely linked. Examples include Falkirk’s Mobile Emergency Care Service, which uses telecare equipment to keep people safe in their homes, or home adaptations which provide items like grab rails to make people’s existing homes better fit their needs.
The survey is open to anyone living in Falkirk, whether you own your own home, live with family, or rent from either a private landlord, Falkirk Council or Housing Association.
By completing the survey, you will help identify the key housing issues that affect people living in the Falkirk Council area. Falkirk Council will then produce the new Local Housing Strategy, creating a plan to address local housing needs over the next five years.
This survey is just one part of the strategy development, the housing team will also hold drop-in sessions and focus groups across the Council area in the near future.
The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete. If you would like to receive this survey in an alternative format – including paper copy or another language, please contact the Strategy and Development Team at strategic.housing@falkirk.gov.uk.
