Long-serving employees clock up 465 years of service in health and social care

116 members of staff have been recognised for their outstanding long service to local communities as employees of Falkirk Council, including 18 colleagues from Falkirk’s health and social care services.

Members of staff joined Chief Executive Kenneth Lawrie and Provost Robert Bissett at a ceremony in Falkirk Stadium to mark their 25-year and 40-year work anniversaries.

In total, the group of long-serving employees have clocked up a remarkable 3,155 years of service – with 465 years belonging to those working in Social Work Adult Services.

Each employee received a certificate and gift card for their work over the years.

The breakdown of awards is:

  • Social Work Adult Services – 17 25-year awards and 1 40-year award
  • Children’s Services – 56 25-year awards and 2 40-year awards
  • Place Services – 16 25-year awards and 5 40-year awards
  • Transformation, Communities & Corporate Services – 10 25-year awards and 9 40-year awards
