Notice: Inspection of unaudited annual accounts 2023/24

INSPECTION OF UNAUDITED ANNUAL ACCOUNTS 2023/24

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 195 (public notices) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, regulation 9(1) and 9 (3)(a), that:

  1. INSPECTION OF ACCOUNTS

Copies of the unaudited annual accounts of Falkirk Integration Joint Board for the period from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 will be available for public inspection from Wednesday 19 June 2024 until Wednesday 3 July on the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership website at www.falkirkhscp.org/finance/

  1. RIGHT TO INSPECT ACCOUNTS

Any person interested may inspect the Accounts to be audited and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto.  Interested parties are requested to submit email requests for access to these documents to the Chief Finance Officer, marie.keirs@falkirk.gov.uk no later than Friday 30 June 2024.  We will endeavour to provide electronic copies of the requested documents before the approval of the audited accounts for signature, at a date to be determined.

No charge will be made for the inspection of documents or for the provision of electronic copies.

  1. RIGHT TO OBJECT TO ACCOUNTS

Any interested person may object to the annual accounts or to any part of those accounts no later than 30 June 2024 by: –

  • sending the objection, in writing, together with a statement of the grounds thereof to Audit Scotland, 4th Floor, South Suite, The Athenaeum Building, 8 Nelson Mandela Place, Glasgow, G2 1BT and to the Controller of Audit, Accounts Commission, 4th Floor, 102 West Port, Edinburgh EH3 9DN
  • sending a copy of that objection and statement to the board and to any officer of the board who may be concerned, both at Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership, Suite 1A, Falkirk Stadium, 4 Stadium Way, Falkirk, FK2 9EE
  1. OBJECTION PROCEDURE

The auditor shall, if requested by the person objecting, the board, or any officer of the board who may be concerned, afford to that person or board or officer, as the case may be, an opportunity of appearing before and being heard by the auditor with respect to that objection, and any such person or officer may so appear and be heard either personally or by a representative.
