New home for the Partnership at Falkirk Stadium

Desk-based staff in Falkirk’s social work and community health and social care services are on the move.

The move to Falkirk Stadium mimics the opening of Falkirk Council’s Foundry offices last year, providing new, modern, and fit-for-purpose office spaces.

Teams have begun a gradual transition from their current offices to Falkirk Stadium, with Sealock House employees already making the move. Upcoming dates for other teams from across Falkirk Council include:

  • W.b 15th May 2023: Denny Town House employees (Falkirk HSCP)
  • June 2023: Place Services

Earlier this year, the Social Work team within Meadowbank also moved to the Grangemouth social work office, bringing together adult community care colleagues with social work teams covering children and family support.

New working environment

Falkirk Stadium, which is operated and manged by a wholly owned subsidiary of Falkirk Council, provides modern open plan office spaces which meet the new flexible and hybrid way of working we have become used to.

Teams moving to the stadium will have designated areas for booking desks within the open plan space, and access to meeting rooms for group discussion and collaboration. A number of general hot desks will be available for anyone across Falkirk Council to book.

Teams from social work and social care services join Falkirk Council’s Growth and Investment Unit, Visit Falkirk, and Business Gateway Falkirk, who are already located within the Stadium.

Desks and meeting spaces within suites 1a,1b, 2a, and 2b at Falkirk Stadium can be booked online via the Falkirk Council Intranet

Handbook

HR has created a handbook to provide teams with essential information about the facilities available at the Stadium, including opening hours, catering facilities, vending, parking, bike storage, and much more.

A Modern Workplace guide is also available from ICT, explaining how workstations are set up and how to use different types of IT available in Falkirk Council offices.

Both documents are ‘living’ which means changes will be made and new information added as new processes and policies come into play.

A fond goodbye to Denny Town House

The move to Falkirk Stadium also marks the closure of Denny Town House, which colleagues have known as the base for Falkirk’s social care services for many years.

While some may have become fond of the building’s quirks, staff moving to the Stadium will experience a positive transformation in our way of working – providing collaborative, bright, and flexible workspaces.

With a growing team covering planning, policy, performance, and communications, Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership has outgrown its accommodation at Denny Town House – which provided dated, cellular layouts which are no longer suitable for modern working.

Last year, Falkirk Council began a consultation on the potential sale of the Town House and its land.
