The Performance, Audit, and Assurance Committee oversees the effectiveness of the Integration Joint Board’s risk management and finance procedures; reviews performance; and provides assurance that the Board meets its legal duty to maintain the quality of services and respond to inspections, complaints and compliments.
The committee was established in January 2025, replacing the Board’s Audit Committee and Clinical and Care Governance Committee. Archived reports and minutes of these committees are available on Falkirk Council’s Committee pages.

The committee meets 6 times a year, with an agenda and reports published in advance on Falkirk Council’s committee pages. Live streaming is available on the Council’s committee YouTube channel, with a recording available shortly after.

The committee’s membership is made up of four voting members from the Integration Joint Board (two representatives from NHS Forth Valley and two from Falkirk Council) and non-voting members.
The committee is supported by a range of professional advisors and Partnership staff, which may include: the Chief Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Chief Social Work Officer, GP Professional Lead, Chief Nurse, Head of Community Services, Head of Specialist Services, Head of Strategic Planning and Transformation, Head of Clinical Governance, and the Chief Internal Auditor.
