Season’s Greetings

In her Christmas message, Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership’s Chief Officer, Patricia Cassidy, thanks all staff and partners for their efforts this year.

As we approach the festive season and reflect on the past 12 months, I wish to express my thanks to colleagues and partners working in local health and social care services. Again, you have continued to show unwavering commitment to deliver care and support with our communities.

In 2023, we’ve achieved some great things together. Because of your efforts, Falkirk has been named the Best Place in Scotland to grow old – recognising the consistently high marks received in Care Inspectorate reports, achieving the highest ratings on average in Scotland. We’ve also developed and published a new Strategic Plan together, setting out a path which will transform and improve services into the future.

We’re already making good headway on that journey – with the progress of our Home Care Redesign project just one example, planning the launch of a new specialist in-house reablement service next year.

More recently, several teams have also celebrated their success at local NHS Forth Valley Awards and the national Scottish Social Services Awards – receiving the well-earned praise and recognition for the support they provide.

Achievements like this, and many more we have counted this year, highlight the strength and resilience of our local services and communities. Every colleague and partner should look back on the year gone by with pride, as the progress made has come to fruition through sheer determination and close teamwork.

On behalf of the people of Falkirk, please let me extend a warm and huge thank you for another successful year helping to make local communities healthier.

Wishing you, and your loved ones, a very happy festive season and a happy new year.

Patricia Cassidy
