Local people within Falkirk and the District towns are invited to leave the car at home to earn rewards and win prizes with the relaunch of Falkirk Council’s Take the Right Route campaign.

Take the Right Route rewards local people and commuters around the area for engaging in a more active and sustainable lifestyle by choosing to walk, run, wheel, cycle and take public transport more often.

Using the BetterPoints app, participants earn points for their activities, which can then be redeemed with local businesses through the Falkirk District Towns Gift Card.

There will also be a host of other rewards and prizes on offer, alongside the opportunity to donate rewards and points to local charities.

Take the Right Route is now live and runs until the end of December 2022. Taking part in the challenge is easy:

  • Download the free BetterPoints app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Register your details, join the ‘Take the Right Route’ programme and use the BetterPoints app to track your active journeys.
  • Reward points are automatically credited to your account for eligible journeys.
