Christmas message from Falkirk’s Chief Officer

Dear colleague,

During another turbulent year, your hard work, dedication, and collective positive spirit has carried us through.

I hope everyone is able to take time this winter to celebrate with family and friends, relax, and enjoy a well-earned rest.

I know current pressures may get in the way of usual plans, but please do take the time to look after yourself, just as you have for others during these tough months.

Please know that the important and difficult work you do is praised, valued, and recognised by the communities you serve. We are all able to celebrate safely at home this winter, because of the work you do.

I hope you feel supported by each other, friends, family, and the wider community, but I also know that feeling stressed or helpless may feel familiar you at the moment.

These are normal responses to extremely challenging circumstances. Remember this as you reflect and rest this festive season. Look out for each other, seek help if needed, and take pride in the resilient way you and colleagues have risen to this challenge.

Wishing everyone a safe and merry Christmas and very happy New Year,

Patricia Cassidy

Chief Officer
