Falkirk Staff Wellbeing Fund
Funding to support health and wellbeing activities among social work adult services staff has opened to colleagues in Falkirk’s third and independent social care sector.
Organisations contracted to deliver adult social care support on behalf of Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership are invited to apply for the funding below. A separate internal process is available to Falkirk Council employees.
What is the purpose of the Funding?
- To support staff wellbeing by providing improved access to practical supports such as rest and recuperation facilities
- To provide evidence based emotional, pastoral or psychological supports to staff.
- To increase the provision of staff wellbeing support already in place from provider organisations.
Examples of how the funding might be used include: paying for activities such as yoga sessions; the purchase of services such as an exercise instructor/coach; or supporting a colleague to upskill in a wellbeing activity to allow them to support other colleagues.
What is on offer
- Funds will be issued based on a unit cost per staff member actively working within the Falkirk area.
- Funds will be paid to the organisation, not to individual staff members.
- The claim process is open until end November. Payment will be made to organisations shortly after the claim process has closed.
Who can apply?
- Organisations from the third and independent sector currently delivering adult social care support under contracts with Falkirk Council are eligible to apply.
- Organisations who accept the funding will be invited to share any benefits, learning or development gained from the use of the funding with Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership.
Partner organisations can apply now
To claim the funding, a lead person from each eligible organisation should complete the short application form. Responses should be co-ordinated to ensure that multiple claims are not made.
The claim process is open until end November 2022.
