Falkirk Suicide Prevention Fund 2023

Applications are now open for Falkirk’s Suicide Prevention Fund 2023, previously known as the ‘Choose Life’ fund.

Open to statutory bodies, third sector organisations, or constituted community groups, the fund is available to initiatives launching new services or expanding existing provision.

Funding is available to projects which support at least one of the following mental health and wellbeing priorities, in addition to addressing at least one of Health Improvement Scotland’s four suicide risk factors:

  • Suicide prevention;
  • Self-harm prevention;
  • Suicide awareness – encouraging others to understand and talk about suicide; and
  • Postvention support – supporting people impacted by suicide.

The fund’s ethos and aim aligns with the Scottish Government’s 2022 – 2032 Suicide Prevention Strategy, ‘Creating Hope Together’.

Organisations and groups are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as applicants will be received and reviewed on an ongoing basis until available funds have been allocated. Applicants can apply for up to £25,000 to be used in a single year or one-off costs.
